Tired of doing extra work and not getting paid? Attend this seminar and learn how to watch your work during the course of a project, identify legitimate extras, notify the proper parties, and get payment in full without costly delays or litigation. A handout will be provided to minimize the amount of note taking.
Our speaker is Joseph E. Manzi, P.E., principal and founder of J. E. Manzi & Associates, Inc., a company that specializes in project management, construction disputes, project cost overruns, damage analysis, loss of labor productivity, schedule and delay assessment and review of A/E and CM Performance. Also a specialist in program management/owner oversight and schedule management, Joe has been called in on major projects such as Soldier Field, Millennium Park, the reconstruction of Wacker Drive, the Chicago Skyway and the Dan Ryan Red Line.
He is an expert in the field of change orders and extras and understands the steps you must take to get paid for them, regardless of contract size. His program will cover notice, reservations, documentation and recognizing job impacts beyond the changes.
This seminar is sponsored by the Associated Steel Erectors and the Iron League of Chicago. There is no charge for members or Industry Fund contributors, but advance registration is required. Call 630.530.7560 or send a fax with names and email addresses of participants to ASE (fax 630.530.2756).
